They are two different lines. The GL Hatch are the Waltons. They are not related to the YL Hatch family. Though Ray Hoskins must have infused the Waltons to the YL Mcleans and probably bred back to each side or more towards the YL side only Gene can tell. Once in a while a GL comes out from the YL Mcleans. I haven't had one coming greenlegs but a friend, Francis Afable had some of them.

Re: McLean Yellow leg HATCH ?
Well, my friend wants me to be his best man again this May. Let's see if I canmake it! Kinda still on break from Kali - too much going on with my boys, chickens and bulldogs. I do have a private student from San Diego who insists on me training him personally even though I recommend others! I am concentration on the chickens right now and maybe after a couple of years, I can start pursuing my Masters training with Grand Tuhon Gaje! Right now, just don't have the time or money to do it, besides I don't wanna spread Pekiti anymore - too many of us already, wanna keep the numbers down, for selfish and survival reasons....
So you gonna let me have that son of Kulot to his Mama? My friend in KY's gonna gift me with his Marion Rose blood...

Re: McLean Yellow leg HATCH ?
I seem to remember, the late Harold Brown, of Red Fox Fame, got his yl hatch direct from Ted Mclean. Not many out there have this authentic yl Mclean blood. Those that do, are quite fortunate. I would say that Red Fox Farm still breeds this line. I would not be afraid to contact them if I were looking for the real deal. If memory serves me well, I believe some would come St. comb.
Respectfully:
